SKCC Registration Policy

  • Registration fees will be collected at the beginning of each term by the Registrar and a designee of the Treasurer (who will be responsible for the handling of the money.) They will turn the fees over to the Treasurer after they are processed into the SKCC databank. Online registration is available on our website.
  • At the beginning of the Fall Quarter members will have the option of paying for the whole year.
  • The registration fee currently includes the cost of the music. The rest of the registration fee helps pay the cost of salaries for our Artistic Director, our Accompanist and other operating fees.
  • The Registrar will send registration information to current and prospective members prior to the upcoming term. It will also be posted on our website.
  • Registration fees can be mailed to our P.O. Box or given to the Registrar at rehearsals, or paid via Credit Card or PayPal if you choose Online Registration.
  • Returning members are encouraged to pay their registration fee by the 3rd rehearsal. Returning members who don't pay until after the 3rd rehearsal will have to pay a $10 late fee. Registration for returning members will end at the 4th rehearsal. No refunds will be given after the 4th rehearsal. To obtain a full refund, the music must also be returned.
  • No discount is given for only singing with the chorale for part of the quarter.
  • Prospective (new) members may 'sit in' on one rehearsal but must pay their fee the next time they attend. They will not receive music permanently until they pay their membership fee. No one can join the chorale less than six (6) weeks before a concert.
  • Scholarships are available by application to members who need help paying their registration fee. These forms are available at rehearsals and must be filled out and turned in to the Scholarship Committee by the 2nd rehearsal. If the scholarship is not granted, the member will not be charged the $10 late fee.
  • Member's names will be published in the SKCC concert programs and listed on the SKCC website. Member information will not be sold or given to any non-members. Member information will be made available to: the SKCC Artistic Director, the SKCC Section Leaders, the SKCC Board, and the SKCC Communication Facilitator.
  • *EdCC students who register for SKCC through EdCC will obey the registration policy of EdCC. They are also asked to fill out a SKCC Registration Form and give it to the SKCC Registrar along with their $25 Music Fee.

SKCC Policy for receiving of music by Members

  • Music will be given out only after members have completed a registration form and paid their registration fee. Upon receiving their payment, the registrar(s) will give members a “paid” receipt with their names written on it, which members will give to the librarian(s) to receive their music. Registrars will have a list of those who have pre-registered and paid by mail, so that those members may receive a receipt at the first rehearsal.
  • Those applying for scholarships may receive music upon paying only the $25 music fee plus the remaining $20 registration fee.
  • If members are unable to register and pay at the first rehearsal, they can look on to the music by sharing with another member who has music.
